The lives of the nineteenth-century authors Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, whose works are well-known, are enacted. Wilhelm struggles to compose something enjoyable amidst the multitude of dry nonfiction books they produce, so he collects and publishes oral-tradition fairy stories.
