Nabil, thirty-somethings Michaël and Sylvain head to New York to surprise his friend Samia on her birthday, then secretly arranged together with the help of yet another close friend, Gabrielle. The two women had proceeded to NYC two decades previously to try their luck. Samia shares a fabulous loft with a renowned performer and also works as her assistant. Gabrielle includes a more mundane job in a retirement home that is small. Transposed to newyork, the close bonds formed through the years between the five friends in the housing project on the outskirts of Paris carry on another aspect.
