Seven years following the apparent death of Chen Zhen, who was captured afterwards detecting who had been accountable because of his teacher's death (Huo Yuanjia) in Japanese-occupied Shanghai. A stranger befriends a local mafia boss and arrives from over seas. That man is a Chen Zhen, who plans to infiltrate the mob once they form a alliance with the Japanese.
