G.B.H.
GBH proved to be a British television drama written by Alan Bleasdale displayed on Channel 4 at the summer of 1991. Even the protagonists were Michael Murray, the Militant Labour leader of a town council at the North of England along with Jim Nelson, the headmaster of a school for troubled kids.
The series was contentious partially because Murray appeared to be centered on Derek Hatton, former Deputy Leader of Liverpool City Council -- at a meeting at the G.B.H. DVD Bleasdale recounts a casual interview with Hatton before the show, that indicates that he has caught wind of Bleasdale's intentions but will not mind as long as the actor playing is"handsome".
In ordinary parlance, the initials"GBH" reference the offender complaint of grievous bodily injury - however, the actual purpose of these letters is that it is supposed to stand for Good British Holiday. - Less
