Andreas, a guy fighting with all the recent passing of his marriage and their own emotional isolation, befriends a husband and wife too in the midst of turmoil that is psychological. In turn he meets Anna, who is grieving the deaths of her partner and son. She looks steadfast in her hunt for truth and enthusiastic in her faith, however gradually her delusions surface. Andreas and Anna chase a romance, however he is unable to overcome his feelings of humiliation and remains disconnected. Meanwhile, the island community has been victimized by an unknown person committing acts of animal cruelty.
