Loner Mark Lewis shooting photos of girls works during your day in a film studio also, during the night. He's making a documentary on fear, involving recording victims' responses as they are murdered by him. He befriends the girl of the family living within the apartment below his, Helen, and he tells her vaguely about the picture he's making.
