School educator Fang Lan becomes entangled together with guerilla group Dongjiang throughout the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong's opposition efforts. After assisting the band with a rescue assignment of novelist Mao 25, one of their resistance band's captain Blackie Lau recruits fang. The mum of fang volunteers to take her place for a courier for a mission and is arrested. Fang finds herself turning to a childhood love, who works at the job headquarters, to rescue her mother.
