Jim Jefferies, an edgy, foul mouthed stand up comedian from Australia, in his own mid-30s and surviving in LA, is trying to make his lifetime and career more"legit," only to find it an arduous, uncomfortable up hill struggle every step of the method. Jim is encouraged in his own pursuit by Steve, his neurotic best friend and roommate, a cyber-law library salesman who struggles to keep on his own feet while in the aftermath of a divorce, and Steve's brother Billy, who suffers from complex staged Muscular Dystrophy and is restricted to a wheel chair.
