The story follows two childhood sweethearts, Pooja and Blackie, who become estranged when they were children owing to a series of unfortunate circumstances. Pooja, who is now a prostitute, chooses to flee the brothel with a bag of stolen money on her 18th birthday. She crosses paths with Blackie, who has transformed himself into an extremely 'chalu' Bombay taxi driver. In exchange for a sizable sum, he agrees to 'drive' her to freedom. This results in a sequence of chases and escapes, with the goons after Pooja and the cops pursuing the goons.
