Darken takes place in an odd, mysterious, and terrible unknown world filled with peril and death. After a young woman is approached in the street by a dying warrior, a strange incantation transports her to the realm of Darken-a terrible prison-like world of labyrinthine rooms connected by no apparent rhyme or reason and with no means of escape. While fighting for survival in this hostile environment, she meets allies who are rising against the reign of a self-appointed religious tyrant who demands obedience to an all-powerful god known as "Mother Darken." Eve and her comrades must battle with everything they have if they are to survive Darken's onslaught of horrors.
