Robert"Tank" begins to work for Dr. Magrew sculpting a puppet to get the Doctor to bring to life utilizing the task of Andre Toulon. Robert begins to fall in love with the Doctors girl, Jane. Unbeknownst to Robert that the Doctor is hoping to make a"perfect race" of puppet humans. Jane finds a"matt puppet" that will be from his very first assistant. She's back only in time to see her daddy, cut by the puppets, has succeeded in putting an income human, Robert, into the puppet he carved.
