One of Hong Kong's best piano teachers, Jing, was paralyzed at an early age. Her doctor Zhou (Chang Chen) molests her during a routine medical examination one day, she claims. Zhou is arrested, charged, and placed on trial right away. ' During the trial, Tim (Aaron Kwok), an idealistic lawyer, is prosecuting the case. But as Tim's investigator Nam (Liu Kai Chi) helps him unravel the case, it becomes increasingly difficult. In time, Tim begins to suspect Jing's story.
