Billy Kane, a former student of renowned gunman Richard Martin, boards a train where Martin is currently riding and holds up the train. Kane decides to spare Martin's life, but not before shooting him in the hands. Martin eventually comes face to face with an escaped inmate who was incorrectly convicted of the railway heist. Both Martin and his new pupil go in search of Billy Kane at the same time.
