A young man has an older woman. He is enamored with her spouse and determines that they should assassinate him. They strangle the spouse and dump his body down a well one night after he has drunk a lot of sake and is in bed. She pretends her spouse has gone to Tokyo to work to avoid any suspicions. A covert love affair lasts three years. Finally, suspicions grow so strong that people start gossiping.
